We’re happy to welcome Tanaya Macheel and Suman Bhattacharyya to the Tradestreaming editorial team in New York to cover the future of money in all its forms.
Tanaya joins us from American Banker, where she covered bank technology and payments. Prior to that, she was a reporter and a sub-editor at CoinDesk. Here’s how she describes her focus:
I’m excited to broaden my coverage to fintech beyond banking. From cross-border payments to wealth management to marketplace lending, it’s a much bigger world. And I’m looking forward to covering it from a consumer angle. Fintech is new and really exciting right now, but there’s a huge gap in the types of coverage offered by our major media corporations and our expert trade publications and I’m excited to work with our team to make TS an authoritative and honest source of information in the industry.
Suman is a recent graduate from the City University of New York’s school of journalism, where he just finished his masters. He’s interned at Advertising Age and the Fiscal Times, and was previously a senior advisor at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat in Ottawa, Canada. Here’s how he explains his mission:
I’m excited to be covering finance and fintech at a time when the worlds of social media and personal finance are intersecting. I’m also interested in how legacy banks are innovating to meet changing customer needs and expectations.
We’re eager to continue our journey of making Tradestreaming a leading modern media publication that covers the future of finance and fintech, and we’re delighted to have Tanaya and Suman join us on this mission.
Tradestreaming was launched in 2007 and has been an active participant in the rise of the global fintech industry. It was acquired and relaunched by Digiday Media in 2016.
