Twenty-five thousand lucky LinkedIn will have a new pair of briefs for their briefcases.
Thanks to a new five-week long promotion by Fruit of the Loom, workers who’ve started a new job recently will receive a free pair of skivvies. The promotion, called “Fresh Gigs,” is being done in collaboration Crispin Porter+Bogusky and is a component of Fruit Of The Loom’s larger “Start Happy” campaign, aimed at proving the “power of positive underwear” in everyday life.
On Oct. 22, LinkedIn users who have switched jobs within the last 30 days will receive a message from Fruit Of The Loom asking the member’s size and preferred undergarment type. Fruit Of The Loom will then ship little white boxes reading, “Contents: A Fresh Fruit for Your Fresh Gig,” along with the participant’s underwear of choice.
So far, social buzz around the #starthappy campaign consists of Youtube and Twitter commenters excited about Fruit Of The Loom’s ad stuntwoman of choice Mickey Facchinello, who fights ninjas and avoids car explosions in microfiber panties. We’re not sure what job she got through LinkedIn, but she looks pretty good doing it. If that were us, we’d definitely need a fresh pair of our own.
