Secure your place at the Digiday Publishing Summit in Vail, March 23-25
Digiday recently collected a roundup of a brand tweets that highlight how not to have a social media presence. But companies aren’t just cheesy on Twitter. In the interest of fairness-in-shaming, here are a smattering of recent Facebook flops by brands that should know better. (And, come to think of it, maybe their fans should know better too, because a lot of these posts got way too many likes.)
Snapple
A Snapple bottle band? Someone call Pitchfork! (Actually, they’d probably be into this.)
Dunkin Donuts
Asking for people to like you is so needy. We’ll give you a pass if this was the result of caffeine withdrawal, though.
CVS
That is one tough word scramble. “Exact Rear” was our guess.
Orbit Gum
Here’s my favorite emoticon, Orbit … >:-(
Pizza Hut
I don’t think you are fully grasping the concept of the tbt hashtag.
