Babylist, Lush and Vox Creative are 2025 Greater Good Awards finalists

The 2025 Greater Good Awards are presented by Digiday, Glossy, Modern Retail and WorkLife, and showcase the work being done around social causes, their impact and, ultimately, those working toward the greater good.

This year’s finalists are addressing urgent social needs through campaigns focused on people first. Initiatives are also mobilizing networks of partners and relying on storytelling to shift public opinion, drive empathy and inspire action.

Babylist, a nominee in the Emergency Aid category, has long centered its mission on the needs of parents. Following the devastating Los Angeles wildfires in January 2025, Babylist transformed its Beverly Hills showroom into a relief hub. The company moved quickly, partnering with celebrity volunteers and more than 160 trusted brands to deliver essential baby items to displaced families. In just two weeks, Babylist provided $2.3 million in donations to more than 1,000 families. The campaign earned national media attention and laid the groundwork for Babylist’s formal crisis response program, reinforcing its commitment to caring for families in moments of greatest need.

In the Local Community Betterment category, Lush is a finalist for the July 2025 launch of its “Lawsuit for Survival” campaign. Partnering with Change the Ref and Global Action on Gun Violence, the effort honored Joaquin Oliver, a victim of the 2018 Parkland shooting, while supporting a human rights case filed on behalf of his parents, Manuel and Patricia Oliver. The campaign ran across more than 200 U.S. stores, with its centerpiece being the Sonflower Bath Bomb, a tribute to Joaquin that directed 75% of proceeds toward organizations fighting for a future free from gun violence. The campaign drew more than 690,000 visitors into Lush stores, raised $150,000 through product sales and drove more than 3,700 petition signatures in support of the case. With a reach spanning millions through email, social media and influencer collaborations, Lush elevated the Olivers’ story and underscored its commitment to activism that extends beyond retail.

Vox Creative earned a nomination in the Disability category for “Sensory Overload,” a feature-length documentary produced in partnership with the toothpaste brand Sensodyne. The film, which premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, sheds light on the experiences of the neurodivergent and sensory-sensitive communities. With one in four individuals experiencing sensory processing needs, oral healthcare can present unique challenges that often lead to avoidance of critical care. By using storytelling — including personal stories and expert perspectives — to reframe neurodivergence as difference rather than deficiency, Vox Creative and Sensodyne demonstrated the power of media to drive empathy, awareness and lasting cultural change.

Altogether, the work nominated by the judges illustrates the importance of businesses having a positive impact on the world.
