#AdamBainIsSoNice: Would-be Twitter CEO’s has admirers

Apparently Adam Bain is the bane of no man’s existence. Quite the opposite!

Bain, who is in charge of Twitter’s revenue, is a front-runner to be the company’s new CEO reports Recode’s Kara Swisher. His rival: the diffident, Steve Jobs wannabe and reputed product genius Jack Dorsey. But while Bain is thought to be a sales guy, he’s a nice one. In a story posted yesterday, she said he’s “beloved company-wide” and basically every conversation about him begins “Bain is suuuuuch a nice guy.” (This is more remarkable considering he doesn’t sleep a lot.)

So, he’s nice! Steve Jobs was a sociopath, but Bain is clearly not.

Swisher’s adoration prompted the hashtag #AdamBainIsSoNice on Twitter, a parade of tweets from employees and fans half-jokingly squealing how sweet Bain is. Topsy tracked 300 tweets with the hashtag.

At the moment, Bain is merely a finalist for the top job at Twitter. But who knows, maybe nice guys sometimes do finish first. Here are the funniest odes to Bain’s sunny disposition:
