According to data from Jun Group based on a sample of over 13 million user-initiated video views between Jan.1, 2011 and Sept. 30,11,
people aged 12-17 make up the largest group of social video viewers at 32 percent. This age group user base has increased 48 percent since the beginning of 2011. The next largest group of social video viewers are those aged 18-24 at 28 percent. As you might expect as age increases social video viewership decreases. One interesting finding was that women make up 63 percent of all video views.
