Mobi Awards Tap Mobext as Top Mobile Agency

Mobext was named the top mobile agency at Digiday’s Mobi Awards, which honor the best in mobile media, marketing and advertising.

Mobext is the global mobile marketing division of Havas Digital. It boasts mobile billings on track to top $10 million for 2012 and works with clients like Sears, Danon and others.

The awards also named Nike+ FuelBand as the best mobile platform innovation. R/GA, which won for FuelBand, also took home an awards for best mobile app for branded content (FuelBand) and mobile app for retail (Google Wallet).

The Mobi Awards were presented last night at an event in New York City hosted by Mike Schneider, digital director incubator at  Allen & Gerritsen, with entertainment by comedian Rodney Laney.
