R/GA and SapientRazorfish lead this year’s Digiday Awards finalists with three nominations each

R/GA and SapientRazorfish are head to head in the 2017 Digiday Awards nominations with three each: R/GA is up for Best Use of Social for Nike’s “Mamba Day” commemorating NBA star Kobe Bryant’s retirement, Best Product Launch for “Billion Color Film” for Samsung’s QLED TV and Most Innovative Agency. SapientRazorfish shows its digital chops with a nod for Best Brand Platform for tire company Bridgestone, Best Use of Mobile for “Shake a Gift” with McDonald’s and Best Use of Social, also for “Mamba Day” – SapientRazorfish was responsible for media distribution, while R/GA created the day itself.

Now in their seventh year, the Digiday Awards honor the best creative marketing and advertising being done today by brands, agencies, publishers and platforms.

Media agency Mindshare and public relations firm M Booth are close behind with two nominations each. Mindshare Entertainment’s “The Art of Performance Tour” for car client Jaguar garnered the agency a nomination for Best Creative and one for Best Branding Consumer Campaign. M Booth is up for Best Creative and Most Innovative Brand for its work with Scottish whisky brand The Macallan.
