Dollar Shave Club: Digiday’s Best Video Ad Campaign

Dollar Shave Club took home the best consumer video campaign award from Digiday’s Video Awards, which honor overall excellence and breakthrough achievement in video media, marketing and advertising.

The winning consumer campaign was a video on YouTube that launched in March. The video, just over a minute and a half, currently has over 7,628,000 views and simply explains the brand’s purpose.

Best Video Creative was awarded to CraveOnline/Evolve Media and Universal McCann for Sony Pictures Entertainment for Resident Evil Retribution Theatrical Release. Evolve took home two additional awards, for Best Video Destination-Branded and Best Original Video Scripted Show/Series.

The Video Awards were presented last night at an event in New York City hosted by Chris Pfaff, vice chairman, Producers Guild of America New Media Council.
