In the past year, agencies have had their feet held to the fire as societal changes, blossoming new social channels and ad budgets have fluctuated and ushered in a new era of change. As the world weighs a slow in-person return a year and a half into the spread of COVID-19, agencies are left rearranging the pieces for their own new normal.

How are they focused on retaining talent? What challenges are they seeing in the marketplace due to the pandemic? How are they authentically navigating their own set of DE&I initiatives? Join us for three days in Miami, Florida as we explore solutions to these challenges, provide ideas for your own strategies and connect attendees from across the industry.

Please note: The health and safety of attendees is our top priority which is why we’re requiring proof of vaccination OR a negative PCR Covid test 72 hours prior to the event and masks to be worn indoors. You can find more about our Covid protocols here.

Working Groups
Gotham & Sanctum

We’ll split into groups and come up with solutions to some of the key challenges discussed during the Town Hall.

Working Group: Can Brand and Performance Work Together? (Location: Gotham)

In this track, we will explore the explosion of performance-based marketing and media spend, based on the surge of ecommerce since the pandemic started. It’s no longer brand OR performance, but brand AND performance. How does brand and top-of-funnel advertising work with or against performance marketing? Should they remain separate disciplines? And if your agency doesn’t have a performance unit, should you be starting one?

Working Group:  Managing Talent and The Evolved Office (Location: Sanctum)

In this track, we will be focusing on the evolved workplace. Discussions will touch on combating the great resignation — how agencies are sweetening the pot to retain young talent, the rise of representative voices within agency walls, and balancing the desire to keep WFH with the urge to return to the office.

Following the Third-Party Cookie Crumbs in Contextual Targeting

Contextual targeting has returned to the forefront of planning and execution discussions as a result of looming cookie deprecation. Given changes in technology, how has that approach to connecting clients to suitable consumers changed? Is it more effective or is it a bandaid until a new generation of identifiers is in market? And is this an effective way to work around walled gardens that force advertisers and agencies to work on only their terms? The Expansion of Brand Safety
Metropolis Ballroom

Brand Safety and suitability have been top of mind for advertisers for years. Now, there’s a new concept called Brand Integrity, for which brands need to establish new standards that allow them to invest and make decisions with confidence. Marketers have always been cautious about media placements and appearing alongside content that could negatively affect their brand, but often look to short-term fixes when issues arise. In proactively focusing on brand integrity and following a new set of standards, they can feel confident their values are maintained throughout the entire campaign process without interruption, while also beginning on a journey to enhance their inclusiveness with new partners. In this session, Olga O’Donnell, head of brand insurance at dentsu International will discuss strategic approaches to brand assurance and the industry collaboration in this space.
