The IAB UK: “Banners don’t work”
Banner ads do not work, said the U.K.’s Internet Advertising Bureau, the trade body that has been telling us for years that they do work. This comes as the U.K. learns that native and content-led advertising accounts for a quarter of the industry’s ad revenue. Native, it seems, is increasingly taking the place of static banners.
