The Digiday Awards is the industry's annual recognition of the companies, campaigns and creative that are modernizing media and marketing. Over the years, these awards have honored leading work from brands, agencies, publishers and tech providers such as Casper, R/GA, Domino’s, The Martin Agency and more.

6:30 p.m. - Cocktail reception

Zuri Hall

Zuri Hall currently serves as an on-air correspondent for “E! News;” co-host of E!’s “What the Fashion” on Snapchat, which humorously break down the most recent celebrity fashion trends alongside Morgan Stewart and Justin Martindale; and host of “What’s Good with Zuri Hall”, an “E! News” original series that takes a bite-size deep-dive into hot pop culture headlines, trends or conversations that celebrate and explore diversity in Hollywood. In 2017, Zuri’s on-air work helped “E! News” earn a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Entertainment News Program. Zuri and the E! News team continue to reinvent entertainment and celebrity news for the next generation, serving as the go-to multiplatform destination for content and pop culture coverage spanning fashion, beauty, lifestyle, viral content, television, music and more, and the voice for what's trending in pop culture across ALL platforms – from television and online to mobile, social and VOD. Before joining E! News, Zuri hosted the after shows and reunion specials for MTV’s hit reality competition show “The Challenge.”

  • Best Social Good Campaign

    Awarding a campaign that has successfully driven awareness, donations or promoted social good.

  • Best Creative

    Awarding the best and most engaging digital ad creative of the year.

  • Best Use of Mobile

    Awarding a brand messaging campaign that successfully engaged audiences on mobile.

  • Best Use of Social

    Awarding a social media strategy that successfully increased audience engagement and/or retention.

  • Best Use of AI new

    Awarding the most effective use of AI (including but not limited to voice-powered assistants, behavioral algorithms and facial recognition) in a campaign.

  • Best Brand Platform

    Awarding a platform or technology that is successful in delivering brand communications, content or advertising across the digital media landscape.

  • Best Publishing Platform

    Awarding a technology that is successful in helping publishers improve their business through advertising and/or content distribution.  

  • Most Innovative Publisher

    Honoring a publisher that best exemplifies original thinking and creativity in editorial, audience development and revenue generation.

  • Social Media Team of the Year

    Honoring the social media team that has successfully improved engagement through dynamic storytelling across platforms.

  • Agency of the Year

    Honoring the agency that has best displayed excellence through noteworthy messaging and strategy execution this year.

  • Brand of the Year

    Honoring the brand that is modernizing the industry with innovative marketing, advertising and customer engagement.

Judging Criteria

The judges will be looking for companies or campaigns that can clearly demonstrate success over the past 12 months. We suggest providing evidence to substantiate your entries including, but not limited to, metrics around KPIs, creative assets, links to your work or other items you feel speak to the quality of your submission. Judges will also consider the structure, presentation and clarity of each entry.

Each section of the entry will be scored based on the following criteria:

- Creativity

- Innovative thinking

- Consumer value

- Results related to KPIs

Entries should relate to business conducted from September 2017 - September 2018.

The Judging Process

1. Judges score each question within the entry form based on the outlined criteria.

2. These are then combined to create an overall score for each entry.

3. All judges' scores are totaled and the highest scoring entries will determine the shortlist.

4. Judges meet to discuss the highest scoring entries and then agree on the category winner.

The shortlist will be announced on October 9, 2018. The winners will be announced at an awards gala which will be held this upcoming November.


All material will remain confidential to the judges, who are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Winning case studies may be used in post-event materials to promote best practice and permission will be sought from entrants before publishing these. Judges are not allowed to judge any entries submitted on behalf of their company.
