Marketers have a big call to make with programmatic advertising. As automated buying becomes the norm, they need to either take more control of how their media is purchased, or stick with agencies and ad technologies they don’t always trust. Marketers and agency executives debated the dilemma at the Digiday Programmatic Marketing Summit in Estoril, Portugal, where it became clear that programmatic’s true potential is still far from reach for many.
