The Edelman DC Digital team is looking for a talented Creative Director to join a dynamic team of digital strategists and account managers. The Creative Director will have the unique opportunity to integrate their creative vision into digital programs for some of the world’s biggest brands.

The Creative Director will help to lead strategy, manage both freelance and in-house designers and work closely with the account and development teams to help bring creative content to life.

Here’s what we need you to bring to the table...

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
The vice president must have at least eight years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
At least 10 years of relevant experience in digital creative, advertising, public relations or marketing and familiarity with public affairs. The ideal candidate has a robust portfolio and can “own” a room whether it’s presenting to a senior marketing manager, CMO or other senior leaders. The Creative Director will operate in close partnership with an energized, fast moving team. You would manage a unique creative staff, as well as multiple freelancers and partners. Ideal Creative Director candidates will be critical in the new business process, helping the team to wow new prospects and also inspire clients once the work is won. 
Flexibility – The DC Digital practice represents clients across all industries including energy, consumer, corporate, health and public affairs. The Creative Director must be able to manage multiple projects across these work streams while being agile and able to move quickly to meet ever-changing deadlines.
Design – A solid understanding of design in the digital and mobile context. Experience with user centered design and how different digital channels present different challenges and opportunities and the ability to express yourself in images, video, copy & concepts. 
Enthusiasm – A desire to build a strong creative offer and inspire a team to become more creative through working with you.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The vice president should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong understanding of how to communicate with teams and work from both client and agency sides. S/he should have a track record of leading profitable programs that have advanced client business goals. S/he should be a superb people manager and have experience successfully managing resources and budgets as well as helping win new business. S/he will be entrepreneurial and professional and have the confidence necessary to manage a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead operational and financial performance of account teams, ensuring quality work, effective processes and that client requests are handled in timely and strategic fashion
· Thoughtfully counsel clients based on broad communications landscape and business goals; take immediate action on client feedback
· Demonstrate advanced writing skills and supervise writing of others
· Set and lead both traditional and social strategic media relations course
· Capitalize on, and contribute to, the Edelman global network to serve and grow business
· Supervise staff by mentoring, motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable and conducting their reviews and overseeing their professional development
· Manage billing and RFP response
· Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
