Frankenstorm Takes Instagram

If you are on the East Coast right now, you are probably at home with your flashlights and soup cans (unless you are this guy) anxiously awaiting what is being hailed as a The Storm of the Century. Besides incessantly checking the news updates on Sandy’s progress, you can see hurricane through the lens of Instagram thanks to a new site from Facebook’s Chris Akermann and Peter Ng, lead digital architect at The New York Times’ R&D Ventures. The site is called Instacane. Check it out to see “the story of hurricane sandy told through Instagram.”
